No. libftd2xx under Linux is also based libusb, the old version
was based on libusb-1.0, the latest version is based on libusb-1.0.8.
Both libftdi (0.x or 1.0) and libftd2xx will have to detach the kernel
ftdi_sio driver in order to work under Linux, since both are based
on libusb.
