Read the spec. CBUS4 cannot be controlled by bit-bang, it can only be
used for one of the other programmable functions. I use it for power
control, for example, or clock output, or an LED.
In my schematic symbol for the FT232R, that pin is labelled
"CBUS4/NO_IO" so I don't forget that.
