Yes, the patch from "18.05.2010 16:08" is the right one,  applicable only on
libftdi-1.0. 

The patch implements the same logic as libftdi-0. With libusb-1.0 there
is no more need for the ifdef, as libusb_detach_kernel_driver() is available
on all platforms, also as a nop() on some.
