I've never tried to use both at once, but that seems like the only thing
that could possibly work. I've only ever used one at a time, but I believe
there are others on the list who can tell you if that will work. Basically,
ftdi_set_interface (at least in libftdi-0.1x) just sets a few member
variables that the other functions look at.
