Hmm, though there is a point about re-attaching the kernel driver
after libftdi usage. Look at another example: If I run a fullscreen X11 
application and it changes the resolution to 320x200, I expect it to switch
back to my native resolution when I exit the program.
That's what Thomas K. meant with "global configuration" I guess.
