Hi Vincent,

thank you for your patches! Yes, this is the (proper) way.

I'm currently very busy and was preparing a libftdi 1.6 release.
I can't promise the patches will make it into this release
since they need quite a bit of review and me looking up eeprom stuff.
I will try to give them a look.

libftdi is maintained on a volunteer basis, $dayjob always takes priority.
Please feel free to follow up in a few weeks if you don't hear back.
