Yes, there are bindings, it is a package names 'six', however, Python 2.x is no longer supported as of this past January 1st.
I have begun removing all of this type of support for Python 2.x, so in my opinion, don't bother making any new code Python 2.x compatible.

Hi Ake,
Since python 2.7 is no longer supported it is not reasonable to expect third parties (libftdi) to still make an effort to support it.

Hello all,

are there any provisions for building the python bindings for both
python 2.7 and 3.6 version at the same time?
