libusb-1.09 release is supposed to be the first release with
Windows backend integrated. It was supposed done last year.
Now it is scheduled in year 2029 thanks to the slow move
of the current maintainer. ;-)

Anyway, if you can, no need to wait for the official release.
The libusb-pbatard branch works fine and Pete routinely
release binary snapshots.

I believe sigrok project is using libusb-pbatard for Windows.

I see. In any case, maybe a beta release is good to have.
