I use either gcc (mingw) and ms VS2007 to build libftdi on
libusb-win32 code can be found:

ftdx is a libraries that offers a standard interface to libftdi on
libusb _and_ to FTD2xx (FTDI's own binaries driver)
and works on linux/windows/macOSX/bsd

Makefiles are missing from the repository for non-windows platforms,
but the code is tested on all platforms.
I will re-add CMakefiles soon.
