FYI: The compat wrapper does not work for me, using libftdi-1.17,
libusb-1.0.6 and libusb-compat-0.1.3.
Although everything is compiling fine, calls to ftdi_write_data() fail
with the following error: unable to write to FDTI device: -5 (usb bulk
write failed)
When I link against the old libusb-0.1.12, everything works as it should.
My box is a 2.6.32-gentoo, gcc version 4.3.4 (Gentoo 4.3.4 p1.0, pie-10.1.5)
