I
apologize. I was looking at only part of what I had. I don't
know. Can you see the permissions on the file libusb actually tries to
open?
Is
that product ID correct? I have 6010, not 6001, on my system.
I've got a 99-libftdi.rules file with the
following line:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb_device",
ATTRS{idVendor}=="0403", ATTRS{idProduct}=="6001", MODE="0664",
GROUP="plugdev"
And my user is a member of plugdev:
plugdev:x:1003:haldaemon,jcw
But when I try to perform an operation on the device, I get
can't
open ftdi device: (-8) inappropriate permissions on device!
What might I be doing wrong here?
Thanks,
